Travs homer twice but can't keep up with Naturals

Springdale, AR—The Northwest Arkansas Naturals banged out 18 hits, a season high against the Arkansas Travelers pitching staff, handing the Travs a 9-4 loss on Tuesday night. Much of the damage came against starter Alejandro Requena who was nicked for eight runs and 13 hits over the first four innings.

Much of the damage came against starter Alejandro Requena who was nicked for eight runs and 13 hits over the first four innings. Six different Naturals had multi-hit games led by Dairon Blanco who went 5-5 at the top of the order. After trailing by three early, the Travs did grab a lead scoring four straight to go in front in the third but the Naturals would tally the final six runs of the night.

Moments That Mattered

* Dom Thompson-Williams homered in the second to tie the game for the Travs and Jordan Cowan blasted a homer in the third to put them on top.

* Freddy Fermin blew the game open for the Naturals with a three-run double in the last of the fourth.

* Cowan has hit all three of his homers this season in the last two game the Travs have played in Springdale.
