The Somerset Patriots overpowered the Bowie Baysox by a score of 10-0 on Friday night in the fourth of a six-game series at TD Bank Ballpark.

The shutout marked the Patriots second of the week and seventh of the season. Somerset’s pitching staff has thrown to a 2.45 ERA over the first four games of the series, striking out 40 in 33 IP.
The Patriots have now won seven of their last eight contests.
LHP Nestor Cortes (4 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 5 K) took the no decision, throwing 49 pitches in his second rehab start for the Patriots, returning from a Left Rotator Cuff Strain.

LHP Ryan Anderson (2 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 2 K) earned his first Double-A win, hurling hitless 5th and 6th frames.
Anderson is yet to allow a run in seven appearances, spanning 10.1 IP for Somerset since his promotion on 6/23. Anderson extended his scoreless streak to 18.2 IP over 11 appearances between Somerset and Hudson Valley dating back to 5/3, allowing only 4 H with 22 K over that span.
3B Tyler Hardman (4-for-4, 2 HR, 6 RBI) pushed across six of Somerset’s 10 runs, with an RBI single in the 3rd, sac fly in the 4th, and two homers in the 6th and 8th innings.
Hardman’s 26 homers this season lead Minor League Baseball. Against Bowie this season, Hardman has homered seven times in nine games.
Friday marked Hardman’s fifth multi-homer game of the season and sixth of his career. The performance marked Hardman’s first four-hit game of the season and 14th multi-hit game.
Hardman’s six RBI are a career high. He’s the second Patriot with 6+ RBI in a game this season.

Over his last 20 games dating back to 6/24, Rosario is slashing .306/.412/.472 with 14 R.
SS Trey Sweeney (1-for-5, RBI, R, SB) extended his hit streak to 11 games, over which he’s hitting .327 with a .890 OPS, 9 R, and 11 RBI.
