The Mets' second-ranked prospect delivered a walk-off two-run homer in the 10th inning to give the 51s a 7-5 win over the Sacramento River Cats on Monday at Cashman Field. Smith finished 3-for-5 with three RBIs.

After top Mets prospect Amed Rosario led off the 10th with a single up the middle off Sacramento's Chase Johnson and Smith wasted no time bringing Rosario home. He took the first pitch he saw from the Giants' No. 24 prospect over the wall in right-center field.

It was the second walk-off shot of Smith's Minor League career. The first one -- also a two-run shot -- came on May 30, 2015 for Class A Advanced St. Lucie against Fort Myers in the Florida State League.
The long ball was also Smith's second of the season. He teed off during the first game of the seven-game homestand on April 11.
The 21-year-old first baseman fired the opening salvo in Monday's back-and-forth tilt with an RBI single to right in the first. He grounded out to the mound in the third, but reached on another single to right in the sixth and crossed the plate on a long ball by Kevin Plawecki.
MLB.com's No. 59 prospect grounded out to the mound again in the seventh before the River Cats tied the game in the eighth on an RBI single by Drew Stubbs.
The three-hit game marked the 26th of Smith's career. He tallied 10 of them last season for Double-A Binghamton, where he produced a slash line of .302/.367/.457. In his first Triple-A campaign, the left-handed-hitting first baseman already has seven multi-hit games and sports a .396 average.
Both teams collected 12 hits, with Rosario and Desmond Jennings finishing with two apiece for Las Vegas.
Giants' second-ranked prospect Christian Arroyo collected two singles to extend his hitting streak to 10 games and raise his average to .462. San Francisco's No. 29 prospect Ryder Jones also tallied two hits in his second game of the season after coming off the seven-day disabled list.
