Nine Players Connected To AquaSox Named To 2026 Arizona Fall League Rosters

September 15, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash.: The Arizona Fall League announced today rosters for their 2026 season and nine people — eight players and one coach — with connections to the Everett AquaSox were named to the Peoria Javelinas.

Players suiting up for the Javelinas who appeared for the High-A AquaSox in 2026 include infielder Brandon Eike, catcher Matthew Ellis, and pitchers Reid Easterly, Jose Geraldo, Calvin Schapira, and Adam Smith. Also joining the Javelinas as players are Ty Cummings, who pitched for the AquaSox in 2024, and Tai Peete, who played outfield for Everett in 2025 before being traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for Brendan Donovan.

Eike, a 24-year-old from Powhatan, Virginia, recently wrapped up his second season with the AquaSox. Drafted in the 13th round (No. 393 overall) during the 2024 MLB First-Year Player Draft, Eike had a breakout campaign in the Pacific Northwest during 2026, hitting .295 to go along with 29 doubles, 24 home runs, and 79 RBIs. He also earned Northwest League Player of the Month honors for his efforts in August.

Ellis, a 26-year-old from Waddy, Kentucky, also joins the 2026 Javelinas from the AquaSox batting order. Across 76 games played in his second season with Everett, Ellis hit 11 doubles and blasted 17 home runs while collecting 57 RBIs. He also walked 54 times, tallying a slugging percentage of .470 and an OPS of .846.

Easterly, a 24-year-old left-hander from Katy, Texas, spent his first full season of professional baseball with the Frogs, finding success in his first taste of the Northwest League. The Duke alum totaled a 5-1 record, pitching to a 3.39 earned run average across 66.1 innings pitched in 34 games. In that time, Easterly struck out 77 opposing batters, walking only 16 while also achieving his first professional save.

Geraldo, a 26-year-old righty from Azua, Dominican Republic, went 1-0 with a 4.21 earned run average across 47.0 innings pitched in his second year with the Frogs. Striking out 54 batters in 33 appearances, Geraldo held opposing hitters to a .215 batting average while dishing out just 23 walks.

Schapira, a 26-year-old lefty from Scottsdale, Arizona, joined Everett for the second time in 2026, going 2-2 while pitching to a 4.06 earned run average. Throwing 44.1 innings, Schapira struck out 63 batters in just 35 appearances, walking 27 while allowing only three home runs throughout the season.

Smith, a 26-year-old right-hander from West Chester, Pennsylvania, was signed by the Mariners organization May 1. Joining Everett to begin his Seattle career, Smith went 3-1 with a 1.67 earned run average in 16 games, throwing 27.0 innings. He allowed only 21 hits during that time, striking out 31 while walking just five before being promoted to the Double-A Arkansas Travelers. With Arkansas, Smith went 3-4, striking out 20 in 28.1 innings pitched.

Cummings, a 24-year-old righty from Clayton, North Carolina, was drafted by the Mariners during the seventh round (No. 217 overall) of the 2023 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Campbell College. He was assigned to the AquaSox for his first professional season in 2024, where he started 25 games and threw 116.2 innings to the tune of a 4.17 earned run average. Cummings was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays that offseason as the player-to-be-named-later in Seattle’s acquisition of outfielder Randy Arozarena. After spending 2025 with the Rays’ system, Cummings was re-acquired by Seattle in exchange for Casey Legumina, later getting assigned to the Travelers.

Peete, a 21-year-old from Riverdale, Georgia, helped the AquaSox to the 2025 Northwest League Championship. Joining the Cardinals organization following an offseason trade, Peete hit .296 with 13 home runs and 56 RBIs across three levels of baseball, reaching as high as Double-A.

Rounding out the Javelinas’ ties to Everett is Jordan Cowan, who will be serving as the team’s Hitting Coach. Cowan played for the AquaSox as an infielder during parts of the 2014, 2025, and 2016 seasons, later returning as the team’s Hitting Coach during the 2025 season. He most recently served as Hitting Coach for the Travelers, making the leap to Double-A.
