BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Jared James collected his fourth hit of the night, a two-run RBI single in the ninth inning to push the Braves to a win over the Barons 4-2 on Friday night.
James finished the night 4-for-4 with three RBIs in the win. His first hit came in the third inning following a 30 minute rain delay. Scoreless coming out of the delay, Kade Scivicque doubled and James singled him in to start the scoring.

Aside from that RBI single, Guerrero navigated through the Braves lineup with ease. The lefty struck out 10 batters in six innings, while only giving up four hits and the one run.
Jake Dunning would be the first man out of the Barons' bullpen and following a Brett Austin throwing error, James stuck a thorn in the Barons' side again, tripling into the right center field gap to extend the Braves' lead to 2-0.
Unable to get anything started against Mississippi starter Matt Withrow, the Barons mounted a rally in the seventh. The home club strung together three straight hits, beginning with a Keon Barnum double. Austin would then get the Barons on the board with another double and following a passed ball, Jeff Gelalich legged out an infield single to score Austin and tie the game at 2.
With Brandon Brennan in to pitch the ninth, James' capped off his Friday night heroics with the two run single to push the Braves in the lead for good.
Brad Roney pitched two scoreless innings out of the bullpen for his first win of the season and Brennan surrendered two runs in the ninth to take the loss.
The Barons will look to get a win on the board against the Braves tomorrow night when the same two teams square off in game four of a five game series. RHP Spencer Adams (1-4, 2.93) is scheduled to be on the mound for Birmingham while lefty Max Fried (1-3, 6.23) will take the ball for the Braves. Curt Bloom will bring you all the action on WERC 105.5 FM and the iHeart Radio app, beginning with the Coca-Cola Pregame Show beginning at 6:20 p.m. CT.
