Naturals Announce No Post-Game Fireworks on Friday, August 28th Due to Burn Ban in Washington County

SPRINGDALE, Ark – The Northwest Arkansas Naturals will not have post-game fireworks on Friday, August 28th due to the current burn ban that has been issued for Washington County.

“We know fireworks are something our fans look forward to, but the extremely hot and dry conditions over the past several weeks do not support our planned post-game fireworks show,” said Northwest Arkansas Naturals Vice President/General Manager Justin Cole. “We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we do our part to properly follow the current guidelines, while still providing our fans with a great night at the ballpark.”

The game against the Frisco RoughRiders (Double-A Texas Rangers) will still go on as scheduled with first pitch at 7:05 p.m. Promotions for the evening will now include a special Friday edition of Kids Run the Bases presented by The Honest Company along with a Bullpen Party presented by Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola from 5:45 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. It is also Scout Night where scout groups can campout in the outfield following post-game Kids Run the Bases.

The Naturals will host the RoughRiders again this evening at 7:05 p.m. The six-game series between the two clubs will continue at Arvest Ballpark through Sunday, August 30th.
