North Little Rock, AR-Joseph Odom's three-run homer in the eighth inning was the game-winner for the Arkansas Travelers (10-7) as they rallied for a second straight game to defeat the Tulsa Drillers 6-3 on Tuesday at Dickey-Stephens Park. It was the Travelers fourth consecutive victory and pushed them a game ahead of Tulsa for first place in the TL North. Seattle Mariners first baseman Ryon Healy, on a ML Rehab, had tied the game in the seventh with a two out two-run single in the seventh as the Travs came back from three down for the win. Lindsey Caughel was the winner after pitching three innings out of the bullpen while Matt Festa worked around a leadoff single in the ninth by striking out the next three hitters to end the game and pick up the save. Anthony Misiewicz struck out seven over five innings in the start but did not factor in the decision. Traveler pitchers combined for 14 strikeouts without issuing a walk.
Moments That Mattered

  • Tulsa's Jacob Scavuzzo broke a scoreless tie with a homer leading off the fifth inning.
  • Arkansas entered the bottom of the seventh trailing by three and having seen their last 10 hitters retired. Seth Mejias-Brean got the Travs offense going with a leadoff double and then four of the next six registered hits to tie the game. Andrew Aplin drove in the first run and then Healy the final two.
  • Chris Mariscal and Mejias-Brean drew consecutive walks to open the eighth setting up Odom for the heroics two batters later. Odom's homer went down the line in left field.
