Outfielder Moises Gomez has been promoted to Triple-A Memphis from Double-A Springfield ahead of the Redbirds series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
Gomez, 23, is in his first season in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. The right-handed hitter has blasted a Minor League Baseball leading 23 home runs so far this season and has driven in 54 runs while slashing .321/.401/.705 in 60 games with Springfield.
The Venezuela native previously played six years in the Tampa Bay Rays organization before signing a minor league contract with St. Louis in November 2021.
The Memphis Redbirds (41-31) return to AutoZone Park on Tuesday, June 28 at 7:05 p.m. CDT to take on the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp to begin a six-game series through July 3.
