SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Lancaster snapped it's three-game losing streak Saturday, beating Inland Empire, 7-4, at San Manuel Stadium. Starter Matt Dennis pitched into the seventh inning, and the offense hit five doubles in the victory.

Dennis (1-3) turned in his best effort of the young season Saturday, taking a shutout bid into the seventh inning. The righty allowed two runs (one earned) in 6.1 innings of work to earn his first win.
Lancaster (8-9) got to Inland Empire's Nate Bertness early to jump in front. Tyler Nevin, who went 3-for-4, put the JetHawks on the board with an RBI double in the second. Forrest Wall and Alan Trejo added RBI doubles in the third inning. A run-scoring groundout put Lancaster up, 4-0, in the fourth
Bertness (0-1) went six innings, but allowed four runs. Four of the six hits he allowed were doubles. Lancaster hit five as a team.
Inland Empire (8-9) made things interesting in the bottom of the ninth after the JetHawks scored three in the top of the frame. The 66ers scored a pair and loaded the bases, but Justin Lawrence struck out Brandon Sandoval to seal the win.
The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the JetHawks. Forrest Wall extended his hitting streak to seven games with a pair of hits. Max George and Joel Diaz each had multi-hit games as well.
The series concludes Sunday afternoon at San Manuel Stadium. Righty Logn Longwith (0-2) starts for Lancaster against Jason Alexander (1-1). First pitch in San Bernardino is scheduled for 2:05 pm.
