Springfield, MO—The Arkansas Travelers posted their best offensive night of the season in a 16-5 drubbing of the Springfield Cardinals on Thursday night. It was a season high for the Travs in runs and hits as the scored in seven of the nine innings and posted five multi-run frames. All nine Travelers batters had at least one hit and one run scored. Kaden Polcovich posted the first four hit game of the season for a Trav and Tanner Kirwer became the first Trav to drive in four runs in a game in 2022. Zach DeLoach also set a career high with five runs scored.

Moments That Mattered

* Kaden Polcovich staked the Travs to an early lead with a 2-run homer, two batters into the game.

* Springfield quickly got on the board in the bottom of the first and had two runners in scoring position with none out. Levi Stoudt quickly rallied and struck out the next three hitters to end the inning and keep the Travs on top.

* Arkansas then took full control of the game when Tanner Kirwer belted a three-run home run in the top of the second.
