BRADENTON, FL - In the first game of a four game series between the Bradenton Marauders and the Tampa Tarpons at LECOM Park, the home side struck for six runs from the fifth inning while only allowing a single run scoring play for Tampa in a 10-2 victory. LHP Domingo Robles picked up his fifth win in his team and leading tenth start while extending his already circuit best innings pitched total to 62.

DH Randolph Gassaway celebrated his 24th birthday with a 2-RBI double to kick off the scoring in the first inning on Thirsty Thursday at LECOM, the first of his two hits on the evening. The only offense for the Tarpons came in the top half of the second inning when OF Omar Carrizales doubled to drive in a pair of runs in just his seventh game with the club to account for the visitor's only offense on the night. Bradenton drove RHP Glen Otto from his seventh start of the year after 2.2 innings and worked across another four runs before a major outburst coming out of the stretch break. Two walks and a fielder's choice in that frame set up 2B Jesse Medrano for a bases clearing double that doubled his season RBI total from three to six. OF Travis Swaggerty immediately drove Medrano around for his 14th RBI on the season to cap the scoring for the contest. The Marauders amassed double-digit runs for the third time this year with two of those coming against Tampa.

A trio of Marauders bullpen arms were able to hold the visiting side off the board for the final three innings, with RHP Ryan Valdes, RHP Shea Murray and RHP Hunter Stratton combining to allow a single hit with four strikeouts split between Valdes and Murray to aid in Bradenton's 26th win of the season.

Bradenton continues their four game series against Tampa on Friday with RHP Cody Bolton taking the hill in a 6:30 start time at LECOM Park.
