The Isotopes' (47-50) offense exploded on Thursday afternoon at Isotopes Park for 16 runs en route to a 16-1 victory and a series split with the El Paso Chihuahuas (52-46). The win moves the Isotopes to within 4.5 games of the first place Chihuahuas.

The 15-run margin of victory was the largest of the season for the Isotopes, a mark that was previously set at 10 runs on May 25 at Sacramento.
Albuquerque's offense connected on 19 hits with four players registering a multi-hit game. Seven Isotopes also drove home runs on the afternoon.
The Isotopes' five home runs matched a season-high, first set on May 15 at Las Vegas. Albuquerque's round-trippers came off the bats of Ryan McMahon (2-for-5, 2B, HR, 2 RBI), Mike Tauchman (3-for-4, 3 R, HR, 2 RBI), David Dahl (1-for-1), Jan Vázquez (3-for-4, 2 R, HR, 4 RBI) and Daniel Castro (3-for-6, 3 R, 2B, 3 RBI).
Dahl's home run came in his only at-bat in what was his first rehab game with the Isotopes since returning from a broken foot. He only played two and a half innings before being replaced.
On the mound, David Holman recorded his first quality start of 2018 after allowing one run over 6.0 innings on the mound. The right-hander walked two and struck out two.
Relievers Brooks Pounders, Mason Melotakis and Carlos Estévez combined to shutout the Chihuahuas over the contest's final three innings.
The Isotopes open up a new series with the Fresno Grizzlies on Friday at Isotopes Park. Peter Lambert is scheduled to make his third Triple-A start. First pitch from Isotopes Park is set for 6:35 p.m.
