Minor League Baseball announced today that INF Oneil Cruz and 1B Mason Martin have been named to the Double-A Northeast League Postseason All-Star Team for the 2021 season.

Martin, a 22-year-old from Kennewick, Washington, put together one of the most powerful seasons in franchise history in 2021 with the Curve. His 22 Home Runs were the most by a Curve player since Jose Bautista and Josh Bonifay in 2005 and he finished the season with the second-most home runs among Pirates minor leaguers in HR and ranked third in RBI. Overall, he batted .242 and played in 112 games with Altoona. Martin was promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis on September 20 and batted .240 with three home runs in eight games with the Indians during the Triple-A Final Stretch.
2021 is the ninth time in franchise history that two Curve players have been named to the Postseason All-Star Team. The last time that Altoona had two players selected was 2018 when 1B Will Craig and 3B Ke’Bryan Hayes earned the accolade.
