The El Paso Chihuahuas started their six-game road trip at Sutter Health Park with a 9-5 win over the Sacramento River Cats Tuesday night.

El Paso left fielder Tirso Ornelas hit a three-run inside-the-park home run in the top of the fifth inning, his second homer of the season. It was the 10th inside-the-park home run in Chihuahuas’ history and the first since Clay Dungan’s in El Paso against Round Rock on May 7. Yonathan Perlaza and Trenton Brooks also homered for the Chihuahuas. Brooks went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and his 37 RBIs are the fifth most in the Pacific Coast League.

El Paso starting pitcher Jackson Wolf struck out a season-high nine batters and allowed only one run in five innings. San Diego Padres reliever Bryan Hoeing pitched a scoreless third of an inning in his first MLB Injury Rehab appearance with El Paso.
