Ortiz (right in the photo above) finishes his time at the Shore with 19 home runs, 48 RBIs, a .521 slugging percentage and a .260 batting average. 13 of his 19 home runs have come in July, five more than has ever been hit in a single month by a BlueClaws player. His 13 home runs this month are also the second most among all Minor League players. He hit six in Winston-Salem over a six-game series last week, earning High-A East Player of the Week honors and has four two-home run games so far this season.

The 22 year old was with the BlueClaws in 2018 and his 32 home runs rank second in franchise history behind Jim Murphy's 36 hit in 2009 and 2011. He finishes this season tied for fifth, with Ryan Howard, on the BlueClaws single-season home run list, despite only playing 74 games, while others ahead of him were apart of a 140 game regular season.

He joins 2019 Phillies first-round pick Bryson Stott in Reading's lineup. Stott began the year with the BlueClaws and was promoted to Double-A on June 1st after a month at the Jersey Shore.
