(Colorado Springs, CO) - Another big first inning doomed the Owlz (25-38) as the Rocky Mountain Vibes (28-34) scored three runs in the first inning on their way to a 5-2 win in the series finale on Saturday night at uchealth Park.

The Owlz opened the scoring on Saturday night in the first inning. With two outs and the bases empty, Caleb Scires smashed his fifth home run of the season to give the Owlz a 1-0 lead.
Rocky Mountain scored six runs in the first inning last night and put together another big inning on Saturday. Nick Egnatuk opened the frame with a walk and then moved to second on a Carlos Rodriguez single. After a wild pitch moved the runners to second and third, Joe Gray walked to load the bases. Bryan Torres tied the game with a single to center scoring Egnatuk. Rodriguez then came home to score on a wild pitch, putting the Vibes in front, 2-1. Nick Kahle then made it a 3-1 game with a sacrifice fly.
Jose Sibrian added to the lead in the fourth inning with a RBI double. Bryan Torres then drove in his second run of the game in the fifth with a sacrifice fly, extending the lead to 5-1.
The Owlz scored their second run of the game in the eighth inning when Anthony Mulrine singled in Jose Verrier, cutting the Vibes' lead to 5-2.
Vibes' starting pitcher Carlos Luna (3-4) struck out 10 batters in six innings to earn the win. Emilker Guzman (2-6) was charged with the loss.
