The Redbirds always say hitting is contagious. On Sunday, they proved it.
Cleanup man Patrick Wisdom, fifth-ranked Cardinals prospectHarrison Bader and No. 11 Paul DeJong went back-to-back-to-back in the seventh inning en route to Triple-A Memphis' 11-7 victory over Round Rock at AutoZone Park. The feat was capped by DeJong's second long ball of the game.

DeJong also plated three runs in four at-bats and the pair of dingers matched his season total entering Sunday's game.
"Everything lines up when I'm seeing it well and they'll fly, but it's so early. I like how I'm swinging it lately, so I'm really just trying to build upon it," the 23-year-old said. "I just try to take one pitch at a time and I like my chances from there to slow the game down and be present in each pitch."
The first homer for the Illinois State product was a solo shot to left field against Major League veteran Dillon Gee on the eighth pitch of his at-bat in the fourth frame.
The seventh-inning barrage began with an eight-pitch walk by Round Rock reliever Tanner Scheppers to Rangel Ravelo -- the 25-year-old first baseman's first appearance for the club in his eighth Minor League season.

"He just kind of goes about his business. This was the first time I got to see him play. He's a great hitter, he had some really good at-bats," DeJong said. "He looks like he has a good idea of what he's doing. He's been around, so I'm looking forward to getting to know him more and even practicing my Spanish."
Wisdom then plated Ravelo with a long ball to left, his third of the year, and Bader followed with his fourth homer of the season. DeJong rounded off the frame's scoring by skying his fourth of the year to left.
"I got to see plenty of pitches before watching those guys take their at-bats, so I kind of knew what [Scheppers] had," he said. "I just took some close, borderline pitches and worked it to 3-2, then finally got a pitch I could handle and I didn't miss it."

The 2014 fourth-rounder had three hits in Friday's game and sports a .312 average in 77 at-bats. He also plated Ravelo with a groundout to third in the fifth..
"It's just about managing the strike zone for me. [I'm] just trying to get to that mistake, because pitchers in this league have a pretty good idea of how they want to get you out," DeJong said. "A lot of times they're just trying to let me get myself out, just throwing pitches on the corners and seeing if I'll swing. For me, it's just about locking in on my hot zone and taking good swings in my zone and I'll trust my chances today."
Wisdom also doubled on a three-hit day, scoring twice and driving in three runs. Bader was 2-for-5 two RBIs and two runs and Ravelo went 3-for-4 and scored three times in his 587th career game in the Minors.
César Puello doubled, hit a solo shot and plated four while Luis Marté added four singles for the Express.
