Piratas: Félix Pie busca conquistar a los campechanos

(www.piratasdecampeche.mx/ Carlos Carvajal) 29 de abril del 2021.- Una de las caras nuevas para la temporada 2021 con el uniforme de los Piratas de Campeche es el dominicano y jardinero izquierdo, Félix Pie, quien lleva dos años de estar jugando en la Liga Mexicana de Beisbol ( LMB ) y buscar conquistar a los aficionados campechanos.
El nuevo patrullero de la pradera izquierda nació en la Romana, República Dominicana, el 8 de febrero de 1985.
Agradece a la directiva de Campeche por creer en él y darle la oportunidad de jugar de nuevo en el beisbol de verano de México.
En la Liga Mexicana de Beisbol, ha jugado un par de años en el 2018 en sus dos torneos y en el 2019 ambos calendarios con los Bravos de León.
Una de sus cualidades que tiene el caribeño de 36 años de edad es la de ser un jugador que no se está quieto, ayuda mucho a sus compañeros en el estado anímico.
"Soy un pelotero que le gusta bromear con todos los que me rodean, no me estoy quieto, les transmito buena energía, siempre estoy haciendo algo con el fin de que salgan las cosas bien, me gusta que haya buen ambiente y para ello yo mismo lo genero".
En el 2019 terminó en el segundo lugar de bateo con .381 por .391 del líder que fue el venezolano Daniel Mayora.
Lamentó que en la recta final de la campaña 2019 se lastimó jugando con los Bravos de León.
"Casi toda la temporada estuve de líder de bateo sobre los .400 pero después tuve unos dolores con la rodilla y no pude terminar en el liderato de bateo de la liga, pero no me enojé ya que tuve buenos números a la ofensiva".
Se considera un pelotero que pone la pelota en juego y estar en base.
"Mi fuerte no es dar jonrones, pero aquí en México he visto que he desarrollado esa técnica, yo lo único que quiero es jugar fuerte como siempre lo he hecho donde he jugado".
De igual manera considera que los Piratas de Campeche, se ven bien.
"El equipo está bueno, vamos empezar los juegos de la pretemporada, no hemos llegado al punto que deseamos todos, pero esto será cuando inicie la temporada y todavía falta un tiempo. Lo que si hay que tener en cuenta que debemos arrancar fuerte ya que es una temporada corta".
Félix Pie jugó en Grandes Ligas y lo hizo para Cachorros de Chicago donde debutó en el 2007 jugando un año más, para el 2009 pasó a los Orioles de Baltimore hasta el 2011, en el 2013 jugó para los Piratas de Pittsburgh.
A los 17 años ya había firmado para Chicago, donde inició su desarrollo como pelotero en la Liga de Arizona en el 2002.
Fue considerado ser el prospecto número uno de los Cachorros de Chicago y a su favor tenía las cinco herramientas.
Por otra parte los Piratas de Campeche, en el día 15 de la pretemporada tuvieron un par de horas entrenando por la mañana en el estadio Nelson Barrera Romellón y antes de su primer juego de preparación en Mérida ante los Leones también practicarán brevemente. El juego en la capital yucateca es a las siete de la tarde, en el parque Kukulcán.
Los filibusteros y melenudos jugarán sus primeros encuentros de la Liga del Sureste y que son juegos de preparación del 29 de abril al dos de mayo, estos encuentros amistosos son con miras de llegar lo mejor posible a la inauguración de la temporada para ambos que será el viernes 21 de mayo en la ciudad de Campeche.
