Flamethrowing southpaw Brandon Clarke made his Double-A debut, striking out seven across four innings of work.

NOTES:
- Rodriguez's homer was estimated at 439 feet according to the in stadium Hawkeye system. The ball reportedly sailed out of the ballpark, bounced on a parallel street and over the nearby train.
- Clarke hit triple-digits multiple times, topping out at 102.7 MPH. He was not charged with a run in four shutout innings. He allowed just one hit.
- Jack Gurevitch also homered, a two run shot in the bottom of the second inning. He has gone deep in four of his last six games.
- Darlin Saladin struck out five baters in 2.1 shutout innings of relief.
