Salt Lake City, Utah. — Left fielder Ka’ai Tom and right fielder Heliot Ramos stole the show as the Sacramento River Cats (35-46) put on an offensive clinic in their 17-10 win over the Salt Lake Bees (37-44) on Thursday.

Everyone got involved in the offense barrage as all 10 River Cats batters had at least one hit, while eight players recorded multi-hit games, nine had RBIs, and eight had walks. In total, Sacramento scored at least a run in seven of the nine innings, notching 21 hits on the three-year anniversary of setting the franchise record with 27 hits.

Ramos and Tom combined to go 6-for-11 with two walks, five runs, and nine RBIs, with the former finishing a triple shy of the cycle.

In addition to the corner outfield’s success, third baseman Jason Vosler went 3-for-5 with three runs, an RBI, and two walks, while center fielder Bryce Johnson was 2-for-3 with a run, an RBI, three walks, and two stolen bases.

The game saw three lead changes in the first three innings, highlighted by a combined 10 runs in the second.

Following RBI singles by Tom and rehabbing San Francisco outfielder Luis González, Ramos blasted a three-run home run 432 feet (106.8 exit velocity) for a 5-1 lead.

Salt Lake quickly responded with their own five-run inning before Sacramento scored two in the third and one in the fourth for an 8-6 advantage.

The Bees would tie the game one last time in the fourth before a fifth-inning RBI double by Ramos to plate González gave the River Cats a lead they would not relinquish.

Right-hander Bryan Brickhouse (0-0, 12.00) will make his first start for Sacramento since being promoted. He’ll take on righty Janson Junk (0-2, 4.54) at 5:35 p.m. (PT) on Friday. Listen to Johnny Doskow call the game online at rivercats.com or on the MiLB First Pitch app.
