For the third-straight night, the Ogden Raptors pounded out double-digit hits in Idaho Falls.
Friday night, however, the clutch hits didn't appear and the Raptors lost to the host Chukars, 7-4.
Ogden was in a hole from the beginning, and despite tying the score in the sixth inning, they ended the night 1-for-12 at the plate with runners in scoring position.
The Raptors' spot starter, Jairo Pacheco, struggled with his control and walked four batters, including the first three who all came around the score, in the first inning. Pacheco didn't make it out of the first inning but the bullpen held down Idaho Falls for much of the rest of the game.
Ogden scored once in the second on a Brock Carpenter double but saw the Chukars match the run in the bottom half.
In the fifth, the Raptors pulled within one when Gersel Pitre drove in Carpenter on a groundout and Rylan Bannon singled in Moises Perez.
The game was tied in the top of the sixth as a wild pitch scored Eric Meza from third base, but Idaho Falls answered in their half of the sixth inning on a two-out infield single with a man on third followed by a triple. The Chukars scored once more on a triple and groundout in the seventh for the game's final run.
With the result, Ogden and Idaho Falls split the four-game series, with the Chukars taking bookend 7-4 decisions while the Raptors claimed 17-3 and 18-1 victories in the middle two.
