GRAND CHUTE, WI - For the second time in three days, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers won a game by the score of 1-0. The Rattlers topped the Bowling Green Hot Rods 1-0 on Saturday night at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium as Bowden Francis outdueled Tobias Myers for the victory.

Bowling Green (65-33 overall, 18-11 second half) had the early opportunity as they had two one with one out before Francis induced Moises Gomez to ground into an inning-ending double play. Francis scattered six hits and two walks over a professional single-game high eight innings. The right-hander walked two and struck out three in the game.

The Rattlers (44-53, 13-15) were held hitless by Myers through the first 5-1/3 innings before Payton Henry singled to break up the no-hit bid. Wisconsin loaded the bases with one out in the seventh, but could not score against Myers, who struck out eight while walking one.

Wisconsin scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the eighth inning against reliever Andrew Grist. Henry drew a walk, but was forced at second on a grounder off the bat of Nic Pierre. The throw to first to complete the double play was wild and Pierre wound up a second base. Then, Grist threw a wild pitch and Pierre was at third to bring the Bowling Green infield in on the grass Darren Seferina's grounder to short was fielded cleanly and the throw went home. The throw was in time, but the tag was high and Pierre scored to give Wisconsin a 1-0 lead.

Robbie Hitt relieved Francis for the top of the ninth and worked a 1-2-3 inning for his fourth save of the season.

The Rattlers also beat Dayton 1-0 in ten innings on Thursday night.
