DAVENPORT, IA - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers rallied to take a 3-2 lead from the Quad Cities River Bandits in the top of the sixth inning on Wednesday night at Modern Woodmen Park. However, Quad Cities rallied right back at the Rattlers with four runs in the bottom of the sixth. The Rattlers dropped the 6-3 decision and missed on their opportunity to register a three-game sweep over the first half Western Division Champions.

The River Bandits (42-35 overall, 2-5 second half) broke their scoreless streak against the Rattlers with a two-out, solo home run by Miguelangel Sierra in the first inning. The homer off Wisconsin starter Dylan File was the first run by Quad Cities against the Rattlers in 32-1/3 innings, dating back to a game on June 6.

The Bandits added to their lead in the bottom of the second on an RBI single by Chandler Taylor.

Wisconsin (33-43, 2-5) wiped away the 2-0 deficit with three hits in the top of the sixth. Quad Cities starting pitcher Cesar Rosado was cruising through five innings as he had allowed two hits and struck out eight. Then, KJ Harrison struck for the Rattlers with a lead-off homer in the sixth. Rob Henry followed with a single to set the stage for Darren Seferina to line a two-run home run to right for a 3-2 advantage.

But, just as quickly as the Rattlers had gained the lead, they lost it.

Sierra started the bottom of the sixth with an infield single. David Hensley tied the game with a triple to score Sierra. File walked the next batter to put runners on the corners. He would leave the game after throwing a wild pitch to allow Hensley to score the go-ahead run.

The Bandits weren't done. Later in the inning, Michael Papierski singled in two runs with the bases loaded against reliever Gabe Friese and Quad Cities had a 6-3 lead.

Humberto Castellanos entered the game from the River Bandits bullpen and closed out the Rattlers with three scoreless innings to pick up his second save of the season.

Nelson Hernández (7-5, 4.92) is the scheduled starting pitcher for Wisconsin. Clinton has named Ray Kerr (3-6, 3.62) as their starter. Game time is 7:05pm.
