GRAND CHUTE, WI – LEAVEN Fox Cities presented the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and the American Culinary Federation – Fox Valley with their Robert A. Udulutsch Award at the organization’s Dinner for a Cause banquet. Charles Behrmann, Executive Chef for the Rattlers and a member of the ACF – Fox Valley, accepted the award on behalf of the team.

LEAVEN – or Limited Emergency Assistance Valley Ecumenical Network – named the award after Capuchin friar Robert Udulutsch, the founder of the organization. This award is given to individuals or organizations that have shown exceptional commitment to LEAVEN’s mission to empower those in need.

“This is one of my favorite events to do every year,” said Behrmann. “It is a chance to showcase some creative new food items and network with other area chefs, but like the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Give Back mission says – it is an opportunity to make a positive difference in our community by using the platform made possible by Minor League Baseball and stadium ownership to provide financial support and help raise awareness of charitable causes in the Fox Valley community in the areas of education, youth sports, and basic needs. It has been a pleasure working with LEAVEN for all these years. We look forward to being a part of this event for many years to come.”

The Timber Rattlers and the ACF – Fox Valley have partnered together for nine years to host the Dinner for a Cause, a six-course dinner event that brings in chefs from all over the Fox Valley and beyond to prepare a course for a great cause in our community. This year over 15 chefs and culinary students prepared the meals with additional staff working to make this event happen.
