Wagoner retired the next two batters before giving up a solo homer to Shervyen Newton.

Cayden Wallace added to the Quad Cities lead with an RBI single in the fifth. A double by Carter Jensen moved Wallace to third base and moved Wagoner out of the game.

Then, Negret launched a 1-2 pitch from reliever Michele Vassalotti to left-center for a three-run homer and a 7-1 lead.

Quad Cities poured on the offense in the seventh and eighth innings. In the seventh, Herard Gonzalez and Kale Emshoff had back-to-back RBI doubles against reliever Brannon Jordan. In the eighth, Negret got one more crack and he doubled in two more runs for an 11-1 lead.

Joe Gray Jr had three hits to lead the Rattlers offense. Ernesto Martinez Jr had two hits and extended his current hitting streak to nine games.

Moore’s single in the third inning moved his on-base streak to 21 games.
