VISALIA, CA - The Inland Empire 66ers plated three runs in the top of the tenth inning and held the Rawhide scoreless to send Visalia to a 3-0 loss in ten innings.

Rawhide reliever Junior Garcia (L, 1-2) surrendered a two-run triple to Jahmai Jones and a run-scoring double to Los Angeles Angels top prospect Jo Adell in the top of the tenth, breaking a scoreless tie that lasted through the first nine innings.
Visalia (25-21) stranded nine runners on base and had runners in scoring position in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings, but never came up with the big hit to drive home a run.
Connor Grey dealt his best start since April, holding the 66ers scoreless over six strong innings. Grey worked a perfect first with a pair of strikeouts, and after that wove his way in and out of traffic on the basepaths, stranding four runners over his first four innings.
He retired the final five hitters that he faced and dished his second shutout outing of the year.
Robby Sexton faced one hitter in the seventh, striking out Jonah Todd, and was followed by 1.2 scoreless innings from Tyler Mark. Garcia pitched a scoreless ninth to force extras.
Inland Empire (23-23) received four no-hit innings from Matt Ball in his first start of the season and Jeremy Beasley followed by tossing four more shutout innings, scattering six hits and striking out four. Jonah Wesley (W, 2-0) pitched the ninth and tenth innings and issued only a walk while striking out one.
Luis Alejandro Basabae led the way for the Rawhide offense with a pair of singles and Stephen Smith reached base twice on a single and a walk.
The Rawhide will look to take their second straight rubber match tomorrow evening, sending RHP Tyler Keele (0-0, -.--) to the bump to make his Rawhide debut against 66ers LHP Nate Bertness (1-4, 5.50). First pitch is slated for 7 PM and tickets are available on rawhidebaseball.com.
