SAN JOSE, CA - The Visalia Rawhide failed to score in extra innings and San Jose's Jalen Miller brought home the winning run with a single in the eleventh to send the Giants to a 2-1 walk-off win.

Visalia scored their lone run of the game in the seventh when Ramon Hernandez doubled and Daulton Varsho singled him home. Visalia (27-25) finished the game with one hit in nine at bats with runners in scoring position.
San Jose (28-24) scored their first run in the third inning off of Shelby Miller, who started for the Rawhide on a rehab assignment from the Arizona Diamondbacks. Brandon Van Horn led off the inning with a double and ended up scoring on a Bryce Johnson single.
Outside of a pair of doubles, Miller was dominant: holding the Giants to one run on four hits while striking out eight and walking none over his five innings of work. He looked like he hadn't missed a beat despite pitching in his first professional baseball game since April 23 of 2017.
Tyler Mark, Tommy Eveld, and Kevin Ginkel followed Miller and combined to pitch five innings of one-hit, shutout relief while striking out five Giants hitters.
Austin Mason (L, 1-3) retired the first two men in the eleventh before a seeing-eye single off the bat of Jalen Miller trickled under the glove of a diving Camden Duzenack to send the Rawhide to their sixth extra-innings loss of the season.
Visalia has been outscored 13 to four in extra frames this season and have now lost all four games to go beyond nine innings on the road.
Orleny Quiroz (W, 1-0) saw Luis Silverio picked off at second by catcher Matt Win to begin the eleventh and then managed to work around a two-out walk to Duzenack and a subsequent single by Marcus Wilson.
The Rawhide will continue their four-game series in San Jose tomorrow night. The Rawhide will send RHP Tyler Keele (0-1, 11.25) to the bump against Giants LHP Sandro Cabrera (6-0, 3.20). First pitch is slated for 6:30 PM.
