Alex Valdez had his first save of the season. He entered the game bases loaded and one out with the Rawhid leading by one. He struck out the two batters he faced to maintain the lead. He proceeded to throw another two scoreless innings.
The Rawhide offense only pulled together five hits, but it was enough for the win. Junior Franco hit his 13th homerun of the year to give the Rawhide a 2-0 lead in the first inning.
