(Reading, PA) - The Reading Fightin Phils (Philadelphia Phillies Double-A affiliate) will welcome the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) to FirstEnergy Stadium for the Fightin Phils’ second home series of the 2026 season. This is the first time this year that Reading and New Hampshire will play one another. The R-Phils took last year’s season series 12-6, including a 7-5 advantage in home games.

Tuesday is Taco Tuesday with the Los Luchadores de Reading Latino Tribute uniforms. Fans will also be able to exchange any unused R-Phils game tickets for general admission seating. To celebrate Earth Day, the first 1,000 fans at FirstEnergy stadium will get a mystery recycled giveaway on Wednesday. Thursday’s game is a Storybook Tribute with “Winnie the Pooh” co-branded merchandise available for purchase. Friday’s contest could be a historic night, as the first 2,000 fans will receive a Nick Singleton Hometown Hero Penn State Bobble Head. Not only will the R-Phils and Fisher Cats be battling, but there’s a possibility that Singleton gets selected in the NFL Draft that night. Saturday is a tribute to “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, and the second fireworks show of the season will be presented by Adams & Associates. The homestand ends on Sunday with a special appearance from the Phillie Phanatic. All fans will be able to run the bases after the conclusion of this contest too.

The Fightin Phils (7-8) are fresh off of a 3-3 road split against the Somerset Patriots (New York Yankees Double-A affiliate). Zack Wheeler made a pair of rehab starts including a nine-strikeout performance over 5.2 innings on Tuesday. Reading averaged 7.2 runs per game and scored at least six runs in every single contest.

Outfielder Raylin Heredia dazzled at the plate, logging a .417 batting average (10-for-24) with eight runs scored, seven extra base hits and three runs batted in. Heredia tallied a career-high three doubles in the series finale and hit one of the team’s 12 home runs this series. Al Pedrique’s group now has 24 home runs over 15 contests, the most of any Eastern League team. Reading finds itself in third place in the Northeast Division, a pair of games back from the lead.

The Fisher Cats (8-5) dominated their battle against the Chesapeake Bay Sox (Baltimore Orioles Double-A affiliate), taking their home series 4-1 before mother nature cancelled the finale on Sunday. New Hampshire notched 55 runs over five contests (11.0 runs/game), winning the first four by a combined score of 49-21.

Ismael Munquia (.636 AVG) proved difficult for Chesapeake pitching, as he was one of three different Fisher Cats to hit at least .500 on the week. Sean Keys (Blue Jays no. 17 prospect) earned Eastern League Player of the Week, as he led the team in home runs (3) and runs batted in (9). New Hampshire leads the Northeast Division at 8-5.
