JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Jhailyn Ortiz hit two home runs and Herbert Iser drove in four as the pair accounted for all right BlueClaws runs in an 8-2 win over Hudson Valley on Friday night.

The BlueClaws (21-29) picked up their first win of the series with Hudson Valley (32-18).

Ortiz opened the scoring in the second inning with his seventh home run of the year, a long fly ball over the left-centerfield wall. The ball landed in the new Chick-fil-A Fan Zone, so every fan went home with a sandwich voucher valid at any Chick-fil-A Jersey Shore location. Herbert Iser added a two-run single in the 4th to put the BlueClaws up 3-0.

Hudson Valley got on the board in the fifth on Kyle MacDonald's RBI double off Adam Leverett. They added one more on a SAC fly from Ezequiel Duran.

Renegades starter Reid Anderson was charged with three runs over 3.2 innings of work.

Ortiz added a three run home run in the eighth and Iser smacked a 2-run double as part of a five-run inning that put the game away.

For Ortiz, it was his second multi-home run game of the season and 55th and 56th home runs of his career.

Jonathan Hughes (3-3) retired all 12 batters he faced, striking out five, to earn the win.

The teams were originally set to play a double-header on Friday but because of wet field conditions, they played one game. They will play two on Saturday night beginning at 5:05 pm. Gates open at 4:30 pm and fireworks follow the game. Click here to order tickets online.
