MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds concluded a six-game series against the Gwinnett Stripers with an 11-3 loss at AutoZone Park on Sunday afternoon.
Shortstop Masyn Winn continued his stellar series with a 3-for-5 day at the plate. The St. Louis Cardinals top prospect drove in a pair of runs, scored once and added a diving play defensively. Winn finished the three-game series 6-for-14 with six RBI.
The Redbirds pitching staff walked a season-high 11 batters in Sunday’s loss. Matthew Liberatore (4-2) tossed 2.1 innings, allowed three runs on three hits, struck out five and walked a career-high seven batters.
MLB Rehabber Tyler O’Neill went 1-for-4 with a walk on Sunday as the designated hitter.
