MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds continued a 12-game homestand with a 5-4 loss to the Gwinnett Stripers on Friday night at AutoZone Park.

Starting pitcher Michael McGreevy worked around a lot of traffic in his second start at AutoZone Park of the season. The right-handed pitcher tossed 5.2 innings, allowed two runs on eight hits, walked three and struck out four in a no-decision. McGreevy set a new season high in hits and walks in five Triple-A starts.

At the plate, catcher Ivan Herrera stayed hot. Herrera extended tied his season-long hitting streak with an RBI single in the third inning. Going 2-for-4 on the day with a walk and a double, Herrera is now 7-for-14 on the series.

Right fielder Jordan Walker clubbed his first home run at AutoZone Park with a solo shot in the second inning. Walker ended the night 1-for-4 with two RBI.

The Redbirds (24-19) return to AutoZone Park on Saturday, May 20 to continue a 12-game homestand at 6:35p.m. CDT. You can find more information on upcoming promotions at AutoZone Park here.
