MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds began a six-game series against the Charlotte Knights with an 4-0 win at Truist Park on Tuesday night.
The Memphis offense scored a pair of runs in the first inning and set the tone for the Redbirds series-opening victory. First baseman Luken Baker and second baseman Nick Dunn each recorded two-hit nights. Baker went two-for-three with a run scored, a double and a walk. Dunn went 2-for-3 with a run scored, two doubles and a walk in his Triple-A debut.
Logan Gragg (2-0) made his first Triple-A start and tossed a dominant 6.0 innings of scoreless baseball. James Naile tossed the final 3.0 innings to earn his first save of the season.
The Redbirds (45-46) return to AutoZone Park on Tuesday, July 25 to begin a six-game homestand at 7:05p.m. CDT against the Iowa Cubs. You can find more information on upcoming promotions at AutoZone Park here.
