Richmond opens two-week home stretch vs. reigning Eastern League champions

The Flying Squirrels return home for a home stretch of 12 games in 13 days beginning against the Erie SeaWolves, reigning Eastern League Champions. The six-game set against the SeaWolves kicks off on Tuesday, May 28 and wraps up on Sunday, June 2.

The series features two In-Your-Face Fireworks shows, a tank top giveaway, a special Grandparent’s Day celebration and more! Fans can purchase tickets online here, by phone at 804-359-3866 or in person at the Flying Squirrels ticket office.

Tuesday, May 28 vs. Erie SeaWolves: Umbrella Giveaway

Rain, rain go away...the Flying Squirrels want to play! Kick off the home stretch with a giveaway you, hopefully, won’t have to use at The Diamond for the rest of the season.

• The first 1,000 fans ages 15 and older will go home with a Flying Squirrels umbrella to fend off the rain.
• Flying Squirrels umbrella giveaway is presented by Pepsi.
• It’s also the next Silver Squirrels game. Fans age 55 and older are eligible to join the Silver Squirrels club presented by OrthoVirginia and receive member benefits including tickets to every Tuesday home game, an exclusive T-shirt and a concession voucher. Learn more about the Silver Squirrels

Wednesday, May 29 vs. Erie SeaWolves: Reading Night with Wine & K-9s

The Flying Squirrels recognize students throughout Central Virginia who successfully completed the Go Nuts for Reading Program presented by M&T Bank.

• Pregame Reading Night parade begins at 5:15 p.m. Students must be in line by 5:45 p.m. to participate.
• Enjoy $5 glasses of wine and $6 wine slushies from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Wine Cart located on the main concourse across from Gilbane Fan Services.
• Dogs admitted for FREE in sections 101-103, 201-203 and first base General Admission. Please request a dog-friendly section if accompanied by a pet.

• Dress in your prom apparel and get a $5 General Admission ticket at the ticket booth.
• Bring a formerly loved prom dress to donate to Cinderella Dreams for a FREE General Admission ticket at the ticket booth.
• In-Your-Face Fireworks from up close and inside the fences to follow the game.
• Enjoy pre-game prom music from All Day VA on the stage, under the disco ball of course!
• Fans are invited to dance in the outfield before the game from 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Sunday, June 2 vs. Erie SeaWolves: Grandparent’s Day

Remember Grandparent's Day in elementary school? We're bringing it back this summer at The Diamond.

• Members of the Squirrel Tails Kids Club presented by Atlantic Union Bank get in FREE! The Squirrel Tails Kids Club is free to join for children ages 14 and under and includes a General Admission ticket voucher to all Sunday home games. Click here to register.
• A special ticket gets you an all-you-can-eat buffet in the Cross Timber’s Roofing Party Pavilion, a field-level ticket to the game and a printed photo with your grandparent. Click here for more information on the special ticket package.
• Bring your glove and play catch on the field from 12:45-1:05 p.m.
• Kids ages 14 and under can run the bases following the game presented by Richmond Family Magazine. Kids can line up to run the bases outside the Squirrels Nest Team Store at the end of the first-base side of the main concourse. Parents and guardians are allowed to accompany their children onto the field and meet them as they cross home plate.
