Frisco, TX-A wild game with several big swings saw the Arkansas Travelers unable to hold a lead and drop game one of a series to the Frisco RoughRiders, 13-12 on Friday night. The Travs jumped out quickly with four runs in the first inning and built the lead to five in the third. Frisco responded with eight straight runs to move in front. The teams then exchanged the lead capped by each squad scoring four times in the seventh inning. Arkansas after leading by five early in the game, had a three-run advantage going to the bottom of the seventh but it wouldn't stand up. Frisco out hit the Travs 19-16 while banging out seven extra base hits to just two for Arkansas.
Moments That Mattered
* Arkansas opened the game with five consecutive hits off Ariel Jurado who had shut them out last week.
* Frisco grabbed the lead in the fourth inning when Carlos Garay's fly ball with two out was lost at twilight and dropped for a two-run double.
* Eric Filia hit a pair of two-run doubles off lefty reliever Ryne Slack in consecutive innings. His double in the sixth tied the game, and his double in the seventh extended the lead to three.
* Frisco took the lead for good when a Matt Walker wild pitch scored one and then a second runner came in to score when the throw back to the plate deflected off of Walker's glove.
