Rob Merten of Clark is BlueClaws 7-Millionth Fan

The BlueClaws welcomed in their 7-millionth fan in franchise history on Thursday night, 17 year old Rob Merten of Clark.

LAKEWOOD, NJ - 17-year old Rob Merten of Clark came through the FirstEnergy Park gates at 6:14 pm on Thursday night and became the 7-millionth fan in BlueClaws franchise history.
The BlueClaws, in the process, became the fastest team in New Jersey and South Atlantic League history to reach the 7-million fan milestone.
Merten was there with his family, including his sister Amanda, father Bob, and mother Donna. 

As the 7-millionth fan, Merten wins an assortment of prizes, including 2018 season tickets, a BlueClaws team-signed item, a BlueClaws jersey numbered 7 with "Million" on the back, and more.
"I kept hearing someone shouting out '35 left,' '20 left,' but I didn't really know what was happening until I walked through," he said. "My father was sure it was going to be him, but it ended up being me."
The BlueClaws, with a crowd on Thursday of 6,645, are up to 7,006,423 fans in franchise history. They entered Thursday 222 away from 7-million. 
12-year old Connor Cino of Toms River became the 6-millionth fan on August 24, 2014. Seven-year old Justin Singer of Freehold became the team's 5-millionth fan on June 15th, 2012. They joined Matthew Currie of Toms River (4-millionth fan, August 24, 2009), Lou Ameika of Lakewood (3-millionth fan, July 16, 2007), Al Spinney of Manahawkin (2-millionth fan, June 22, 2005) and Sean Morales of Jackson (1-millionth fan, April 26, 2003) on the list of milestone BlueClaws fans.
The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore's top stop for affordable, family entertainment. They have led New Jersey and the South Atlantic League in attendance each year since their 2001 inception.
