The lone offensive mark for the Power (15-13) came when
Hickory (9-17) starter A.J. Alexy (1-2) shut down the Power lineup through six innings tonight. He struck out a career-high 12 batters while only allowing one hit, a Calvin Mitchell single in the sixth. Alexy outdueled Robles (1-3), who tossed his second quality start of the year, going six innings and striking out four while not surrendering a free pass.
The Crawdads got their offense going in the first on a Melvin Novoa RBI single, but were held scoreless until the fifth when Eric Jenkins drilled a home run to right to make it 2-0 Hickory. The 'Dads added three more runs over the final four frames to put the game out of reach.
