North Little Rock, AR—The Midland RockHounds rallied to stun the Arkansas Travelers on Sunday afternoon, 6-5. The six game series between the teams ended in a three-three split. The Travs led by two runs on two occasions but the bullpen could not hold the lead. The Hounds scored in each

North Little Rock, AR—The Midland RockHounds rallied to stun the Arkansas Travelers on Sunday afternoon, 6-5. The six game series between the teams ended in a three-three split. The Travs led by two runs on two occasions but the bullpen could not hold the lead. The Hounds scored in each of the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to erase their deficit and take the lead. Ty Damron danced around numerous baserunners to throw 4.1 scoreless innings and earn the win out of the bullpen. Isaiah Campbell surrendered the decisive run in the top of the eighth on three singles and took the loss in his second appearance with the Travs.

Moments That Mattered

* Max Schuemann put the ‘Hounds on top for good with his go-ahead single in the eighth inning. Campbell struck out the next two batters and kept the Travs within a run.

* Arkansas mounted a two-out charge in the ninth loading the bases on a single and two walks but Jake Anchia’s hard ground ball to third base was handled and the game ended with the bases loaded.

* Jake Scheiner extended his hitting streak to 10.

* Arkansas pitching struck out 13 batters while Travs hitters went down on strikes on three times in the game.

After a day off Monday, the Travs welcome in the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Tuesday for the start of a six game series. Right-hander Emerson Hancock (3-3, 2.64) makes the start for the Travs. It is Back to School Week and Mug Club Night on Tuesday.
