Infielder Romy González was promoted to the Charlotte Knights today from Double-A Birmingham. Gonzalez, 24, clubbed his 20th home run of the season yesterday with the Barons. Infielder Romy González was promoted to the Charlotte Knights today from Double-A Birmingham. Gonzalez, 24, clubbed his 20th home run of the season yesterday with the Barons. For the season, the Miami, FL native is hitting .267 (81-for-303) with 52 runs scored, 11 doubles, 20 home runs, 47 RBIs and 21 stolen bases in 78 games with Birmingham. His 20 home runs are tied for second this season in the Double-A South and his 47 RBIs are tied for fourth. He is also currently ranked third in stolen bases and third in runs scored.
