Rory Fox Named MiLB's Eastern League Pitcher of the Week 9/8-9/13

Bridgewater, NJ – Minor League Baseball has named Somerset Patriots RHP Rory Fox as the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for games played September 8 – 13.

Against the Hartford Yard Goats on Thursday, September 10, Fox pitched 7.2 scoreless innings of one-hit ball with six strikeouts and one walk. The 7.2 innings pitched was a career-high for the Yankees No. 10 prospect in his second consecutive quality start.

For his first professional season in 2026, Fox is 8-5 with a 4.36 ERA and 131 K over 130 IP in 23 games (21 starts). He finished this season in Somerset 2-1 with a 3.97 ERA and 41 K in 47.2 IP across 8 games (7 starts).

Drafted by the Yankees in the sixth round of the 2025 MLB Draft out of Notre Dame, Fox ranks among the Yankees minor league leaders this season in CG (2, T-1^st), W (T-4^th), K (5^th) and GS (T-7^th).

Fox is the sixth individual Patriot to be selected for a MiLB weekly award this season. He joins OF Jace Avina (5/12-5/18, 5/26-5/31), INF Coby Morales (4/20-4/26), LHP Xavier Rivas (6/16-6/21), OF DJ Gladney (7/21-7/26) and RHP Cade Smith (8/18-8/23). Avina was also named Player of the Month for May.
