On the heels of their first walk-off win of the season, the Rockies were crushed by the Raptors 19-8 on Saturday night in the rubber match of their three-game series at Suplizio Field.
Grand Junction's pitching staff struggled from the get-go as starter Alex Haynes took the loss and lasted just 1.1 innings as Ogden posted a nine-run second inning.
The Rockies offense responded early as Yolki Pena smacked a three-run double to help chip into the deficit but Ogden's Sam McWilliams carried the insurance load by tagging Juan Mejia for six runs on two three-run home runs in the seventh and eighth innings.
Ricardo Hernandez picked up the win for Ogden as he held the Rox to just one base runner through three innings of scoreless relief while Miguel Ausua, Juan Mejia, and Eric Hepple combined to allow 12 earned on 12 hits and four walks.
Grand Junction will hit the road to kick off a short two-game trip against the Rocky Mountain Vibes with Mitchell Kilkenny scheduled to start his fourth game of the season on Sunday.
