HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Express jumped out front with two runs in the first. 1B Jonah Bride and 2B John Taylor drew walks and later scored on SS Keyber Rodriguez’s single.

In the top of the third, RF Trevor Hauver drew a bases-loaded walk, extending the Round Rock lead to 3-0.

The Bees plated their lone run in the bottom half of the fourth. SS Yolmer Sánchez got aboard with an infield single and 3B Pablo Reyes came home from third.

Round Rock DH Josh Jung belted a solo home run in the eighth inning in the second game of his Major League rehab assignment.

Back-to-back RBI singles from 3B Frainyer Chavez and LF Alejandro Osuna in the ninth allowed the Express to cruise to a 6-1 victory.

E-TRAIN EXCERPTS:

WHERE WE STAND: The Express have won back-to-back games after suffering a 6-game sweep to the Oklahoma City Comets last week...move to 35-30 in the second half and stand in 4th place in the Pacific Coast League standings…trail 1st-place Oklahoma City by 6.0 games…own the league’s second-best run differential in the second half, outscoring opponents 370-332 (+38)…are 4-6 in their last 10, 6-9 in their last 15 and 10-10 in their last 20 games.

LHP BLAKE TOWNSEND: (W, 5.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R-ER, 3 BB, 5 SO, 87 pitches, 55 strikes) earned his 1st win with the E-Train on Wednesday night…tossed 5.0+ innings for the 2nd time in 3 starts with Round Rock…walked 2 batters in the 1st and 1 in the 4th…his lone run came on an infield single with runners on the corners in the 4th…evenly mixed his sinker (29%), sweeper (25%), cutter (24%) and 4-seam fastball (22%).

WHAT A RELIEF: The Round Rock bullpen has now gone 7.0 innings without allowing a hit or a run through the 1st 2 games of the series…the E-Train relievers have held opponents hitless just 3 times this season, 2 of which came in the last 2 games…are now 23-4 when the bullpen does not allow a run.

DH JOSH JUNG: homered in the 2nd game of his Major League rehab assignment with the E-Train...marks his 1st home run since 6/30 with Texas…is now 3-for-10 with a double, a home run, 2 RBI and a run scored in 2 games this week.
