Albuquerque Isotopes left-hander Ryan Carpenter has been named the Pacific Coast League's Pitcher of the Week for June 26 - July 2 as announced by the League Office.

Carpenter, 26, compiled a 1-0 record in two starts during the week, allowing three runs over 14.0 innings. The southpaw struck out 18 batters while issuing just two walks, pitching to a 1.93 ERA.
Carpenter recorded the PCL's first start this season of 8.0 or more innings with at least 10 strikeouts on Sunday when he matched a career-high with 11 punchouts. The lefty is also just the third PCL pitcher to record multiple games with 10 or more strikeouts on the season.
The Glendale, Ariz. native is in his seventh professional season and his fourth in the Rockies organization. Carpenter was originally a seventh round draft pick by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011 before signing with the Rockies as a Minor League free agent in May of 2014.
Carpenter is the second Isotopes pitcher to receive the honor in 2017. Jeff Hoffman received the accolade for the week of April 24-30. Joining Carpenter and Hoffman, Isotopes infielder Ryan McMahon took home Player of the Week honors for the week of June 12-18 while outfielder Jordan Patterson received the same honor for the span of June 19-25.
