Albuquerque Isotopes outfielder Ryan Vilade had his contract purchased by the Colorado Rockies today, and will make his Major League debut in Washington D.C. this afternoon, batting seventh and starting in left field against the Nationals.
Vilade has been one of the top all-around players for Albuquerque this season, appearing in a team-high 108 games with a slash line of .286/.339/.420 with 27 doubles, five triples, seven home runs and 43 RBI. His 124 hits are tied with Rochester’s Jake Noll for the second in all of Triple-A, trailing only Sacramento’s Jason Krizan (128) through the conclusion of play Friday.
Vilade leads the Isotopes with 34 multi-hit games, including 18 since July 22. He batted .320 in 52 games from the leadoff spot of the order for Albuquerque.
