Drew Gilbert, who plated Corpus Christi's lone run, doubled twice in three official at-bats. Gilbert's one-out knock in the fourth accounted for the Hooks first baserunner.
Both of Gilbert's Double-A RBIs have come on catcher interference calls against Chandler Seagle.
Julio Robaina righted the ship after allowing a pair of first-inning runs, allowing only three to reach over his final four frames. Back-to-back two-out hits in the fifth rendered the third Missions marker.
Logan VanWey permitted one single over two shutout frames for CC. Tyler Brown, pitching on back-to-back days for the first time this year, logged a 1-2-3 eighth.
J.C. Correa reached in his final three plate appearances, recording two singles and a walk.
