Tale of the Tape
Williamsport's roster features the third overall pick from the 2018 MLB Draft in 3B Alec Bohm. Bohm, ranked as the No. 7 overall draft prospect by MLB Pipeline, was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies out of Wichita State and made his affiliated-ball debut on June 24 for Williamsport. Bohm is hitting .190 with a double and two RBI in 11 games for the Crosscutters. Phillies eighth-round pick Seth Lancaster is also on Williamsport's roster. Lancaster is batting .225 with four doubles and a triple in 12 games for Williamsport.
The Scrappers are coming off a series loss versus the Batavia Muckdogs. Batavia took Wednesday and Friday's games while the Scrappers fended off a Muckdog comeback in the conclusion of Thursday's suspended game. The series loss is the first for Mahoning Valley this season. The Scrappers are now 6-1 in season series.
Mahoning Valley (14-6) enters Saturday with the best record in the New York-Penn League. The Scrappers lead the league in team hitting (.267), runs per game (5.4) and slugging percentage (.373). Shortstop
