Filia hit .565 through the first seven games of the campaign, but didn't have a multi-hit game since until Tuesday. While the 25-year-old went 6-for-31 from Oct. 24 to Nov. 7, his .379 average still ranks second on the circuit, just behind Royals No. 11 prospect Nicky Lopez (.385).
On Thursday, Filia singled to center field in the second inning, knocked an RBI single to center in the sixth and slapped a two-run double to center in the eighth to cap his outing.
Mesa's Jason Vosler (Cubs) hit a game-tying single in the ninth to force extra innings and Nationals No. 12 prospect Kelvin Gutierrez laced a go-ahead single in the 10th, but Peoria took advantage of last licks.
With an automatic runner at second base, second-ranked Red Sox prospectMichael Chavis slugged a leadoff homer, his second jack of the fall, to win the game for the Javelinas.
