The SeaWolves racked up 16 hits on the Reading Fightin Phils in their second straight win at First Energy Stadium, beating the Fightins 8-5.
Liarvis Breto got the game off to a rocky start for Erie. Malquin Canelo and Drew Stankiewicz both singled, setting the table for a three-run homer to left field. Breto would not allow another run for the rest of his outing.
The SeaWolves started their climb back in the second inning. Danny Woodrow added an RBI on a fielder's choice to bring the score within two at 3-1.
Erie wasted no time in taking the lead in the third inning on Connor Seabold. Sergio Alcántara doubled to left to lead off the inning, and came in to score on a Daz Cameron ground out to short. After Kody Eaves popped up to short, the SeaWolves rattled in off four consecutive two-out hits. Will Maddox and HCastro both reached on singles, followed by a three-run shot from first baseman Josh Lester to give Erie the 5-3 lead. Josh Thole was left on base after his single, but the damage was done on Seabold who's day ended after three innings.
The Wolves added another run on Ranfi Casimiro in the fifth inning. With the bases loaded, Thole grounded into a double play to invite Will Maddox home to score to make it 6-3.
The offense stayed hot for Erie in the sixth inning. Robson nailed a double to left center on Elniery García, but stayed at second after a couple of quick groundouts rolled to Malquin Canelo. With two gone, Kody Eaves smoked a double to score Robson to make it 7-3. Maddox bounced a single into right bring in Kody Eaves, and the SeaWolves jumped up an 8-3 lead.
The Fightins inched closer in the seventh inning on Erie reliever Fernando Perez. Listi notched another RBI on a sacrifice fly, advancing Cord Sandberg home to bring the Erie lead down to 8-4. 
Reading added another run on a single from Sandberg, bringing the Fightin Phils within three at 8-5.
John Schreiber fanned two in the bottom of the ninth, and the SeaWolves held on to win 8-5
Liarvis Breto (2-0) earned his second career AA win after allowing only three runs on five hits with six strikeouts. Seabold (0-1) lost in his Eastern League debut after surrendering five runs on eight hits with two walks and three strikeouts in three innings pitched. 
The SeaWolves (35-41) return to First Energy Stadium for the series finale Thursday for their final game against Reading (34-43) in 2018. The SeaWolves will send out RHP Kyle Funkhouser (3-4, 3.62 ERA) against the Fightin Phils' RHP Franklyn Kilomé (2-4, 4.52 ERA) at 7:15 PM.
