SEIGLER MAKES A SPLASH IN RENEGADES' RAINY AFFAIR

In a game filled with drizzle and downpour, Anthony Seigler made a splash with his bat hitting two homers and driving in four RBIs as the Renegades lost to Wilmington by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday night at Dutchess Stadium.

The game was originally pushed back an hour due to rain forecast, but after the brief delay, Jhony Brito took the bump to face off against the Blue Rocks' best. He battled through heavy rain conditions and came away with a no-decision after 4.2 innings of work with three unearned runs and five strikeouts.

At the plate, Hudson Valley was limited offensively to just four hits - with two coming courtesy of Seigler. Elijah Dunham and Jake Sanford would be the only other Renegades to join the night’s lonely hit column.

Defensively, the Renegades found themselves in unusual waters as the team made an uncharacteristically high four errors in the game. Whether it was due to the slippery conditions or not, Wilmington took advantage of the opportunities and piled up the runs.

Francis Peguero earned the win for Wilmington while Derek Craft was tallied with the loss for Hudson Valley on a wet night.

HV leads the season series 11-, and the two teams will square off again when they continue the series tomorrow at the Dutch at 7:05 pm.
