New this year is the City Island Baseball Show Monday nights at 6:00 p.m. The half-hour show can be heard on ESPN 96.5 FM, 95.3 FM and 1400 AM and streamed at ESPNRADIOHARRISBURG.COM. The show is hosted by Senators broadcasters Terry Byrom and Frankie Vernouski. Each Monday the two will try to pull the curtain back on baseball, giving fans an inside glimpse of working and broadcasting in baseball.
Byrom returns for his 20th season as the lead broadcaster of the Senators. At the end of last season, he broadcast his 3000th game overall. He started his broadcasting career in 2002 with the Ogden Raptors, followed by two seasons as the lead voice of the Fort Wayne Wizards in 2003 and 2004 before joining the Senators. He and his wife, Liz, make their home in Enola.
Vernouski is in his 5th season on the radio broadcasts. The 2017 Lower Dauphin High School alum and 2020 Syracuse University graduate is on the air for the entire home schedule plus 25-35 road games. Vernouski is manager of corporate sponsorships for the Senators along with his radio duties. The Harrisburg native now lives in midtown Harrisburg and is an active member of the community.
The Senators’ offices are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily during the offseason. The 2025 home opener is Tuesday, April 8, against the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
